Simone started playing tennis at 7 and never stopped. He turned pro in 2003 and since then he is having a great career, winning 7 Challengers titles.

In doubles, he won with Fognini the 2015 Australian Open, being the first Italian male couple to win a Slam in doubles. In 2023 and 2024 won the Davis Cup.

In 2024 was runner-up at the Australian Open and qualified to the ATP Finals with Andrea Vavassori

His favorite movie is “Gladiator” and he also loves fishing.
